I was pleasantly suprisied by this book. It has been my experience that Christian fiction is often times drub and uninteresting; not the case with this book. While there were a few places that the book dragged a bit, they were immediately followed by interesting twists to the plot. The concept is fascinating and as I put my mind to the thought of the natural consequence of everyone knowing the truth about a persons true feelings it was mind blowing. I enjoyed how the author moved me from practical to the theoretical and from the physical to the spiritual implications. The theme and ideas in this work were truly unique and in my opinion, while speculative, still scriptually sound. Two critiques I would have for the book were one: there are some spelling and grammitical errors in the text. Two: I found Dave the Christian apologist to be to one dimensional. All in all the flaws were not enough in my opinion to downgrade the review by a full star. If you are looking for a fascinating and intriguing idea and are curious to what a christian worldview is; this book would be a terrific choice.

Wow, once again, amazing writing from Rich Hackett. The detail he uses to describe all aspects of the story en keep the reader engulfed in a vivid picture throughout the book. I enjoyed this book as much or more than Everything. He makes you think about the spiritual world in a way that keeps us wondering and makes us want more.. Good enough story to be a movie!!
This book is amazing, I would highly recommend this as a must read to anyone, and everyone I know! I have never read a book from front to cover that was so compelling. It was full of suspense from beginning to end, it had me on the edge of my seat not knowing what was next. It is definitely the most spirituallly inspiring story that would help anyone who is confused or curious about really wanting to understand God. It has helped me really take a good look at my own life and ask myself some very gut wrenching questions on what I truly believe is the truth. What would people see in me if my true self was exposed to the world? To find out what I mean read the book!
The storyline of this book was quite fascinating, and I loved the invention of the aura reading glasses. That kept me reading the book longer than I normally would have. When I first bought this book I didn't read the reviews, unfortunately, and I didn't realize it was going to be religious in nature. I thought, after reading the reviews, that this would be my biggest problem with it. I was so wrong. The writing is terrible. Did the author even have someone proofread? Better yet, an editor. There were so many extra words, or strange sentences it was a bit frustrating. The thing that made me give up though (I only read 37%) was the errors in words. For example 'ridged' instead of 'rigid' or 'towing the line' instead of 'toeing the line'. This derailed me every time it happened and it happened quite frequently. I would pass on this book, although I think with an editor it would have been much better. Another odd problem was the font. Even decreasing the font on my to as low as it could go, the font was still HUGE. It was taking me about 15 seconds to read a page, and I probably could have read it from 5-10 feet away. It was really weird.
I haven't written a review for a book before today, but I just felt compelled to do so with this one. This is the best mind-bending, heart-pounding, terrifying, sci-fi, and spiritually romantic journey I've ever been on...Almost immediately, I became intrigued with the main character because I found his internal conversations humorously entertaining, honest and at times, curious. Within the first couple chapters, I became both enchanted and convicted by the different forces of nature at work within this story. Before I knew it, I was completely captivated by the intertwining of the innovative, technological and spiritual worlds and how much they rival, yet, depend on one another. I had sleepless nights, engulfed in my thoughts at the possibilities of these worlds colliding in the near future; one innovative idea plus one seriously misguided individual equals a recipe for a beautiful battle of 'The Eyes of the Heart'. (The Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and even Saddam Hussein's of the world would be clawing for this thrillride!). I highly recommend this to anyone )
I am not normally a fan of Christian fiction but loved this book! Characters were interesting and the story line fasinating. The multi facited story kept me glued till the end. Even with the character's conversion the book never felt preachy or fake. Looking forward to the follow up book.
Richard Hackett's spiritual thriller is equivalent to a Frank Peretti novel. What starts out as a very interesting take on technology takes a turn that is unexpected as the main characters focus turn from technology to the social push and pull of society, and finally to a spiritual realm where every decision has eternal consequences. Loved this book and I think that you will too!
